The arena construction is progressing, with all the pipe posts in and the top rail on (Merry Christmas to me!) Next is welding the clips to run the cable through, and finally to hang the gates.  After Christmas next week we will be hauling in the sand to give us that good, safe arena footing.  The 50-foot round pen will be set up as soon as the sand gets here.The electrician is here today adding more lighting in the barn. 

The forms are set now and ready to pour the concrete for the wash rack.  Can't wait for warmer weather to put it to use.

The concrete was poured Saturday and we are stripping the forms today.  We will be hooking up the waterers this week - Yeah!

The arena and cattle catch pens and alley have been laid out and the pipe posts have been driven so we can see the outline of the arena now.  The arena is 160' x 280' so there will be lots of room to work a horse.

We got some much needed rain last night.  An answer to prayer, the crops need it.

We are excited because we are nearly ready for boarders.  The water lines for the automatic waterers are in and the concrete forms ready to pour this coming week.  The arena will be started next week with the pipe posts being placed and sand being hauled in for the arena base.  We baled alfalfa hay today until the dew came off - more to bale tomorrow.
